Truth In Equity provides financial education and consulting on managing existing mortgage and consumer debt. We are not a lender, mortgage broker, broker-dealer, or investment adviser. We do not originate, service or broker loans, and we do not sell securities or investment products.
This statement explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to truthinequity.com, creditlinebanking.com, and our customer system at crm.truthinequity.com.
This page and our Terms of Use carry no tracking of any kind. No advertising pixel, no analytics, and no session recording run on either of them. You can read both without being measured.
When you contact us or request our free materials
Your name, email address and telephone number, and how you heard about us.
When you use our calculators or build a profile
Financial information that you enter yourself. This may include your home value, mortgage balance, interest rate, loan term, monthly payment, income, expenses and credit score range.
You enter this information. We do not obtain it from lenders, credit bureaus, data brokers or any other third party.
When you buy from us
Your billing name, address, email address and telephone number.
We never see or store your full card number. Payment card details are entered into and handled entirely by PayPal, our payment processor.
Automatically, when you visit
Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the time and duration of your visit.
Session recordings
We use Microsoft Clarity to record how visitors interact with our pages — mouse movement, scrolling, taps and clicks. Text you type into form fields is masked and is not captured in these recordings. We use this to find pages that are confusing or broken.
Session recording does not run on this page or on our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it.
We share it only with the service providers who make our business run:
| Provider | What they handle |
|---|---|
| PayPal | Payment processing |
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting, and email delivery |
| Cloudflare | Website security and delivery — receives every request made to our sites |
| Microsoft Clarity | Website analytics and session recordings |
| Meta Platforms (Facebook) | Advertising measurement — see the section below |
| Search performance reporting, and website analytics |
Independent brokers and associates. Truth In Equity does not currently work with any independent brokers or associates. Should that change, any sharing of your contact details with a broker is disclosed to you directly at the time of contracting, when a payment request is made — not silently.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where necessary to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
Our website carries the Meta pixel on its ordinary pages. It does not run on this page, and it does not run on our Terms of Use. Because this is the least visible thing we do, we describe it in full rather than in summary.
What it is. A small piece of JavaScript, loaded from Meta's own servers, that runs in your browser when you open a page on our site.
What it does, on every page where it runs:
_fbp, which gives your browser an identifier that persists between visits, and _fbc if you arrived by clicking a Meta advertisement. What Meta can do with it. If you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram in the same browser, Meta can connect that visit to your account. Meta uses this to measure whether its advertising works, to build audiences, and to select advertising shown to you elsewhere.
If you do not have a Meta account, your browser still sends this information; Meta states it does not build a profile from it, but the request is made regardless.
How to stop it. You can control Meta's use of this data in your Facebook account settings under Settings → Ads → Off-Facebook activity. You can also block it at your browser using tracking protection, a content blocker, or by refusing third-party cookies. None of our services require the pixel, and blocking it will not stop anything on our site from working.
Our sites use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your progress through a profile, measure how the site is used, and support the session recordings described above.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Some parts of our customer system will not work without them.
We keep your information for as long as you have a relationship with us — or until you ask us to remove it, which we will do on request.
After that, we retain only what we are required to keep for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
To make any of these requests, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days.
We protect your information with encrypted connections, access controls, and restricted internal access.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We take it seriously, and we act promptly when we find a problem.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and a number of other states have additional rights over their personal information under state law — including the right to know what is collected about them, the right to have it deleted, and the right to opt out of its being shared for advertising purposes.
Whether or not those laws apply to us, we extend the same choices to everyone, as set out under Your choices above. If you are a resident of one of those states and wish to exercise a right not listed here, contact us and we will respond.
Note in particular that the Meta pixel described above may constitute "sharing" for targeted advertising under some of those laws, even though we receive no payment for it. That is why we have described it in full rather than in passing, and why the controls for switching it off are given directly.
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this statement from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
