Truth In Equity Reviews: Don’t Take Our Word For It. Call Our Clients.

Anyone can publish a testimonial. Only a company willing to be checked can publish a list of people to call.

If you found this page, you were probably searching for something like Truth In Equity reviews or Truth In Equity complaints. That’s the right instinct. You’re about to trust a company with the largest debt you’ll ever carry, and you want to know who you’re dealing with before you pick up the phone.

Most companies answer that with testimonials they selected themselves — a glowing quote, a first name, a last initial. You can’t verify any of it. You know that, and so do we.

So here’s our answer instead.

We publish a list of past clients who have agreed to take your call. Not a testimonial. A real person, who paid us real money, who you can contact and ask whatever you want.

There are currently 77 of them.

Why we do this when nobody else will

Ask yourself why the rest of this industry doesn’t offer the same thing.

A company that publishes a list of contactable past clients has given up control of the conversation. We don’t know what you’ll ask. We don’t hear the answer. We can’t edit it, soften it, or cut the part where they tell you what annoyed them.

That’s uncomfortable. It’s also the point. Anyone can publish a testimonial. Only a company willing to be checked can publish a list of people to call.

Every person on that page volunteered. We don’t pay them and they get nothing for taking your call. They opted in, and any one of them can opt back out tomorrow.

What to ask them

People hesitate to make that call because they don’t know what to say. Here’s what we’d ask if we were you:

Ask the awkward one. That’s the one worth the phone call.

What you’re actually buying

Twenty years of doing this, applied to your situation.

We help you find the appropriate loan with the appropriate lender — we are not the lender, we don’t broker it, and we earn nothing on whatever gets put in place, which is exactly why we can tell you when something is wrong for you. Then we teach you to be lean, liquid and independent, and we stay with you through it. We’re your wingman and your guide, through the lending process and through the implementation and day-to-day management of your cash flow.

You also get our back office. That’s where you track your income and expenses, see the trend, and project forward — our clients call it the crystal ball, because you can look into your own financial future instead of guessing at it.

And you get the network. Other experts, and other clients who have already been through this and come out the other side. Everything they know is available to you.

Most people who see their own numbers laid out don’t need persuading of anything. Their own schedule does the persuading. Ten years in, the balance has barely moved, and nobody ever explained why in plain language.

The fee, and the guarantee behind it

Our fee is $3,995. No percentage of anything, no ongoing charge, nothing tied to a product you buy from someone else.

Set that against the interest you are currently scheduled to hand an institution with no stake in your welfare. Pull your own amortization schedule and add up the interest column. For most homeowners that number runs well into six figures. The $3,995 is not the expensive number on the page.

And you don’t have to take our word for that either.

We publish a six-month money-back guarantee. You can download it and read the whole thing before you speak to anyone. Six months is long enough to see whether it works on your actual loan, not short enough to be a marketing gesture.

In twenty years we have never had to pay one out. We still offer it, because the risk in this decision shouldn’t be sitting on your side of the table.

About the complaints

If you searched for complaints, you may have found a handful of reviews on third-party sites. Read them.

You’ll also notice there aren’t many in either direction, and we’d rather explain that than let you assume the worst. We’ve been doing this since 2006 and we have never run a review-collection campaign. We don’t email clients asking for stars, and we don’t route the happy ones to a review site and the unhappy ones to a support inbox. So the public record is thin, and it’s thin honestly.

That’s exactly why the client list exists. A dozen anonymous reviews tell you less than one twenty-minute phone call with somebody who went through it.

The people behind it

Truth In Equity was co-founded by Bill Westrom and has been operating since 2006. Our clients came to us largely the way you probably did — through search, through television and radio interviews, and through people who went through the program telling somebody else about it.

That last one matters. Twenty years of referrals is not something a company can fake, and it is not something that survives if the work doesn’t hold up.

What happens if you call us instead

No obligation and no pressure. We’ll look at your actual loan and show you what it’s doing with your money. If there’s nothing worth doing in your situation, we’ll say so — that happens, and it’s a shorter conversation than you’d expect.

But if you’d rather check us out first, do it properly.

Frequently asked

Yes. Every person listed is a past client who opted in to be contacted. They can remove themselves at any time.

Do they get paid for taking my call?

No. They receive nothing, from us or from you.

Will Truth In Equity see what we talk about?

No. Your message goes to them directly and their reply comes back to you. We are not in the middle of it.

Is my email shared with them?

What does it cost?

$3,995, with a six-month money-back guarantee you can download and read before you commit.

Are you a lender?

No. We don’t originate loans, we don’t broker them, and we don’t earn anything on the products anyone puts in place.
